1. DH :
Each team may nominate a batter to bat in place of the pitcher for each game. The DH designates a player who does not play as defense in the lineup submitted to the official record keeper before the start of the game. The pitcher is listed in the box outside the batting order.
If the DH is not indicated in the batting order submitted to the official record keeper before the game, the DH cannot be used for that game.
2. The DH’s spot in the batting order is fixed and cannot be moved during the game.
3. Substitutions for DH
The DH may use a pinch hitter. In this case, the alternate batter or substituted player becomes the DH. However, the DH listed in lineup submitted to the official record keeper prior to the game must finish hitting, at least once, against the opposing starting pitcher unless the starting pitcher is substituted.
A DH who has been removed under the preceding paragraph may not re-enter the game.
4. Automatic Removal of DH During Game
1. When the designated hitter goes into defense
2. When the pitcher goes to another defensive position while on the pitch

5. When the DH is removed in accordance with Appendix 1 Paragraph 4, the batting order is adjusted as follows.
1. When the DH goes to field, the designated hitter's batting order is not changed and the pitcher enters the batting order of the retired fielder according to the related shift.
2. When a pitcher is switched to a different defensive position while on the pitch, the player who became a fielder from the pitcher and the new relief pitcher enter the batting order in which they retreated according to the relevant shift.
3. When a large hitter or a large runner becomes a pitcher as it is, they enter the batting order.
4. When a pitcher during the pitch becomes the designated hitter's substitute batter or substitute runner, he enters the designated batter's batting order.
5. When a fielder listed in the batting order table becomes a pitcher, the new fielder or fielder remaining in the game before the game enters the designated batter's batting order. However, at the same time, when the designated hitter goes to defense, the new fielder or pitcher remaining in the game as a fielder enters the batting order of the retired fielder according to the relevant replacement.
7. If two or more players are alternated at the same time and the selection of the batting order has not been decided, the manager must determine the respective batting order and defensive position and notify the official record keeper.
Appendix 2 – No. 10 Batter Rule
1. A team that does not use a DH and the pitcher will also be included in the batting order can create a batting order consisting of 10 batters by adding an additional non-fielding batter to the batting order at the start of the game. 2. The number ‘10 hitter’ can be removed during the game, but cannot be added after the start of the game. The use of the ’10 hitter’ must be declared before the start of the game and submitted in the lineup to the official records keeper. If the 10th batter is removed in the middle of the game, the batter that is due up following the ’10 hitter’ advances one spot in batting order.
3. A player who only enters as the ’10 hitter’ may be replaced at any time with a player in another defensive position, including the pitcher, during the game. In other words, two batters can alternately defend one position. However, if a pitcher is substituted, the pitcher may not re-enter as a pitcher in the same game.

However, if the batter in the batter's box shows no intention of avoiding the pitch, determined by the umpire, a strike or a ball may be declared according to the position of the ball and will not be recorded as a hit by pitch.
A pitched ball that hits the ground before hitting the batter will also be recorded as a “hit by pitch”.
3.5. When a pitcher commits a balk, he is issued a warning. Balk rules apply for all balks thereafter.
3.6. A starting pitcher can get credit for the win if the following conditions are met:
A pitcher must pitch at least three innings. The team never relinquishes the lead. The team wins the game.
3.7. If the starting pitcher does not qualify for the win, official scorer awards the win to the most effective relief or closing pitcher from the winning team.
4. In the event a player that is at bat suffers an injury that prevents him/her from running, but otherwise can bat, another player from the same team may serve as a temporary pinch runner, provided that:
a. The injured player reaches first base ("original batter") AND
b. The pinch runner is the last player in the lineup that was called out before the injured player is at-bat.
4.1 The temporary pinch runner shall not steal.
4.2 If the temporary pinch runner scores, the run shall be attributed to the original batter.
5. In the event of a wild pitch or a passed ball after a pitch, the players of the fielding team may pursue the ball as long as the ball is retrievable within the backstop or is not otherwise called dead ball by the umpire.
Appendix 1 – Detailed Rules for Designated Hitter (DH)
3. When the designated hitter's alternate batter or alternate runner becomes a pitcher
4. When a pitcher during the pitch becomes the designated hitter's substitute batter or substitute runner, the pitcher during the pitch may not be the designated hitter substitute or substitute runner.
5. When a fielder listed in the batting order becomes a pitcher
6. When a pitcher who is on the pitch while changing fielders or a new participating pitcher is added to the batting order table
A player who only bats without fielding is called a '10 hitter'. However, the 10th batter does not necessarily have to be in the 10th batting order.
